Climate - Weather
The rainy seasons are
April to June and October to early December. The
coast is hot and humid all year round but tempered
by strong onshore breezes, the lowlands are hot and
dry and the highlands (including Nairobi) are more
temperate and cool at night.
Kenya
Kenya is the country many people automatically associate with African
safaris - the alluring landscapes, teeming wildlife and its people have
been immortalized and romanticized in movies and books ever since the
first Europeans set foot there. Kenya prides itself on a rich
conservation history and wildlife reserves which often work directly to
benefit the surrounding communities.
Kenya offers the traveller a land richly endowed by nature with what
some consider to be the most exciting wildlife in the world along with
stunning tropical shores lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
The coast has much to offer with a variety of activities and watersports
including exploring the underwater marine world of the reefs that lie
off its shores. The theme here is definitely one of 'doing as much or as
little as you like'.
From the peaks of Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro, to the open savannah
plains the thrill of seeing the animals in their own natural environment
roaming freely through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world
is a truly breathtaking experience. The excitement as you search for the
'Big Five' and many other animals, to capture them on film is truly
unforgettable.
From the coast to the plains, the combination of safari and beach makes
a unique holiday experience.
